In Italy, it is a tradition for everyone living in a village to share food and conversation in a local establishment. These places are as much a part of the community as the piazza fountain or the neighborhood parish church. In America, we are not accustomed to this concept, but we crave it and are evolving toward it, especially here in Portland, and DiPrima Dolci is part of this evolution.
